A really good colleague of mine left us yesterday (who's next?). We've been great friends and colleagues for over 4 years (Tango started just a month before me - how time flies!!) - although he's not going too far away from us, he's one very big character I'll never forget. Here's the Tee and pants design I did for him as part of his leaving presents (he'd better wear these! :)

All the best Keef Tango! Good Luck x

I LIKEY Notebooks

I stumbled across this rather good looking Notebook (probably something all designers should have to jot down that winnable sketch/idea!!) - LOVE the funky colours too! it's enough to make me jump out of bed for. Never forget the name of a designer again with this notebook by Archie Grand.

Check the range out at Lazy Oaf.

Going to the Lakes for a swim

It's Thursday evening and am currently in the process of packing a few bits and bobs for the weekend away to the Lake Districts - some might say I'm packing for a week but y'know how things can 'happen' then what do we do, without our bits!?
Anyway, I've never been to the Lakes before and it's going to be GREAT to spend some time with the group - since I missed out on the groups venture's last year - this year's event was a 'Must attend'!

Cycling, water ski-ing, BBQ, apple crumble making, no sleeping, gorge walking, chatting til our mouths dry out and drinking games are on the menu of activities... Hopefully, we're all going to be good swimmers and the one who gets most wet will be LOSERS! :)

September is also birthday month - so many people's birthdays are around this time (ManG, Suz, Jojo, Melanie) - decisions, decisions, if anyone have any good gift ideas pls let me know - I'm keen to know what you think would make 'unique' gifts q(^^)P ManG and Suz's pressies are both sorted (checked) tho!

Currently lots of exciting things are happening - some things can't be mentioned yet but things are going well and am thinking 'back to the childhood days' for a project I'm working on - remember back to the times when Playdays were cool, Sesame Street, Mighty Mouse, the Mr Mens and Little Missie's, Rainbow, Rosie & Jim were the hottest friends to be with. Well I've been reliving these days with Mr Paluk - I'll keep you posted soon!

In the meantime - please meet Jasper the Carrot - new illustration just produced, whoever said fruit n veggies were boring!?? xx

Jackets spudders are good!

I was stuck on what to have for lunch today (a daily dilemma: sandwich, salad or jacket spud?) and then I stumbled across this rather tasty looking jacket spudder! - filling wise, I chose something rather sweet than savoury - it looked rather 'tastefully' good to eat!

Furoshiki gift wrapping

I must say I was very impressed - I'm off to the fabric shop first thing in the morning!!! :)

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

There once was this fancy Designer Girl who had spent months in finding the 'perfect' mirror and last weekend, she stumbled upon her perfect partner!

I've never experienced such difficulty in finding the 'right' mirror for my bedroom - I thought surely it can't be that difficult but then....questions rose: should it be practical? choice of frame? then what colour? size and shape? - and should it be contemporary, chic, or simple? Raise your hand also if you've learned the hard way that nice-looking mirrors can cost almost their weight in gold? (I did think that) so when I happened to stumble upon a vintage mirror for £25.00 in a sleek boutique (a not at all thrifty-looking shop), I managed to look past its garish faux-antiqued gold frame and brought it home with me asap!!

Thank you Syd and Mallory, located in The Forum, Sheffield.
