Roll Up, Roll Up, who wants to play the waiting Game!?...
Ahhh, not long now to wait till I can see and meet that special someone :)...ah, definitely some things in life are worth waiting for and I guess, if we're patient enough, good things should/would come to us right? (but it's just in between that 'waiting' time and end result (ie, Prize/outcome), we hope we're not making a fool of ourselves...mmm, I hope to achieve a nice prize soon!
I met candy after work on Friday, we swanned off to Meadowhall. Colleagues at work had asked to join them for our weekly Friday drink, but today was a No No...It really had been a while since we'd been out togther, just me and candy. We'd always text/ask each other - "are you free, are free?" but our timings for a date to meet have been so mis-matched! We settled down for a cuppa at Costa (thanks for the drink CanD) and rambled on about a whole range of useful nonsense (nonsense that I enjoyed listening to and advice which I really listened up to). I'm a really lucky going kinda girl, I have a good handful number of girl-mates which i can turn to and they teach me a lot of useful/helpful things. They give me inspiration and ideas for new illustrations to fill my Heydays pages...hehehee, yes U do!
Lately me and brother have been getting on better too (I dunno how long for) but it's been good. Tension in a family household is hard to bear at times (fingers crossed for him - he's playing the waiting game at the moment:).
Ming and Johnny picked us two up from mhall, and took us to Noodle in for some food, like usual it was very busy...I hope candy's feeling better now. That evening we went back to Ming's too to pick up some books. I managed to have a quick game on the Nintendo DS with candy (2player style) - I hadn't played on Tetris in decades and wow she's good, I must buy one of those cartridges for downloading games too. Gosh, i gotta work my brain more too (I need to get myself a heavier brain on Brain Traning!).
Today's been a sunny day again. Shame I didn't join the HeyTowners at their BBQ, sorry Becky. I hope not too much food was left over. The next invite to one, I'll be over!
Today, I spent the morning shifting furniture around in my room (yep, again!), I'm never satisfied ma. Mould on one of the walls had come through during the winter months and it wasn't till today I got into gear by seeing to it. Painting is one of my worst hated activities but I got my rags on and painted the two walls in this very nice rich terracotta colour (same colur as before). I've been into town with mama too, we had our weekly 'cuppa tea session in M&S', it was a bit of a rush today bcos we left the house quite late. I had a McD's for lunch yesterday too, eeeeeeeekkks!! (that mcDs in Rotherham town centre has changed so much!), I usally don't ever enter those places (the clown is bad) but yesterday was an exception, I had one of those really cheap and nasty but tastes GORGEOUS ice cream cones with a deli sandwich - yum!
Anyway, the bosses are back tomorrow at work, they've been off this past week (Happy Birthday Amanda for Weds). I have loads to show them for approval before sending to client. The diva website needs re-designing too and bosses are expecting to see something first thing 2mw (OH OH!!) - Before working life as a designer started, i never understaood the term ppl 'lived for the weekend' but now I do. Weekends are great! Just doing nothing and having this blog page blank to represent 'Nothing' is fine by me...
