Happy Birthday Dan (diva) and Martin (diva) for Sunday hope you two both have a great brithday! It was Dan's Birthday today, like usual, we all celebrated it by having cakes and luxurious coffee in the afternoon. I chose the cakes yesterday from Sainsbury's and I chose Dan a SpongeBob one, it was hilarious and charming (tasted good too)...my vodka jelly (triple layered) turned out well and went down a treat too (half still left in the fridge, that'll be our dessert on Monday). Dan mad us Gin and tonic too (we are soooooo bad, drinking alcohol at work - hahahaha!!!) - Gin and tonic is really refreshing but the damn thing is, alcohol always makes me have hot flushes (it's a chinese thing!:)...
After work I went to see Hairspray with Mel and Emma (diva). Hairspray was great!!! -Go and see it girls, you'll find the songs, dancing, and costumes all amazing, Those dresses are WOW - and you'll be swaying to those cheesy songs too! it's a very inspiring film with a strong message behind it too.
**The Films Plot (for those who don't know the film** >> Tracey Turnblad, played by Nikki Blonsky (new actress - she's very good), is a big girl with big hair and a big ambition. She's determined to be a dancer on local TV's Corny Collin's Show. She refuses to be aput of by the size 8 beauty queens who grace the stage. Against the odds she catches the eye of both Vorny Collins and the show's heartthrobe singer Link (Zac Efron). Michelle Pfeiffer also stars in it, god, she's so skinny and looks ill!! John Trovolta dresses up to play Tracey mom (he's in a fat suit and raises plenty of laughs playing a woman).
The fabulous songs and dance routines (wish i could dance like that - I'd prob' end up breakin' my back!) are pure heaven and the lyrics sparkle with wit, it'll make you want to download/buy the soundtrack. This film reflects on the size zero generation, racial equality and that being different is a good thing - go on be ambitious like Tracey! :)
SEE THE FILM YOU LOT...leave the guys at home girls and go out with your girl-mates on Sunday afternoon.
Congratulations to Hayley (diva) too - it's her graduation tomorrow in Leeds. Well done!! Hope tomorrow is one of your most memorable days ever, take loads of pictures, make sure you chat and mingle with all your old uni'mates, afterall some you won't be seeing again (make sure you have a good one-a dn that there's no rain). let me know how it goes...
I need sleep, not slept enough this week. Tiredness is making my skin dry and moods fluctuate - sigh...need sleep, night night towners. Don't forget your brollys this weekend if you're out and about, it's reported to be extremely wet (2 months rain this weekend - crikey!)
