All work and no play

From the start of Monday morning it has been utter chaos at diva this week. None stop. Tuesday evening and last night I was working up till 10pm, we've been given some ridiculous deadlines and we've been one man down too which doesn't help. Currently working on an A5 20pp report which I was only given the text Tuesday noon and was required to get first visuals off to client by Weds AM. Amends need doing to a Young Person's Resource pack (a pack containing 20 inserts on info regarding looking after your baby), first visuals req'd for a parenting programme leaflet.

Also this week, I've been given the opportunity to work on a video project (a taste of using applications like Final Cut Pro and After Effects). I suppose one of the good things about diva is that we get to work on 'unexpected' projects and using apps I'm not familiar with, is that, most of the time, I'm chucked in the deep end (without arm bands:) so I'm left to get on with it. The support is there if I need it but I'd never have guessed I'd be using After Effects so early on. The project deadline is today and as I left work last night I left the video presentation rendering so I wonder what the final piece looks like with sound and motion together! (The rendering process takes ages - a tedious process, just for a 15mins film, it will take up to 1 hour to render on a powerful G5 tower!

I’m also reading that the iPhone contract has gone to O2 and that it will be on sale in these parts for £269 including VAT. Touchdown? 9 November 2007. Hell hath no fury like the Apple store in Mhall this Christmas, no doubt...Christmas?...I can't believe I mentioned that. I bought myself the new Ipod Nano last week in baby blue (and wow, it definitely carries the XFactor. I'm just overwhelmed by how thin and tiny it is) but the stupid thing is, it's still in its box, I haven't had the chance to explore the trendy gadget yet. Chris (Tango) bought the red one (he has good taste! Have a good few days off Mr T, U deserve the rest after all that hard work you did last week!!).

For the first time ever Fashion Weekend is coming to Manchester! Taking place from 4th-7th October at Manchester’s most stylish venue – Urbis. Check it out. Siu-ann would u like to go? I know we already went to Mani last weekend but tickets are required. see www.fashionweekendmanchester.co.uk

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOSEPHINE TOO. It was her birthday yesterday. There's a lot of birthdays coming up this month. Anyway, it's 7.45am now so I must type off...hopefully, I'll be leaving on time from work tonight...I need to get a life, hopefully a restful Sunday (like last weekend) is in store for me?!
