We all posess the X Factor

Annie on Weds night was superb, AMAZING!!! (not as impressive as Chicago though but the genre was very different). There were a lot of children that night. The child actors are so talented, full of confidence and charisma (I'm sure their parents were proud!). It makes you think how much hard work and determination these stars go through. The youngest singer there must had been five yrs old and the girl who played Annie couldn't had been any older than ten (she shone the most).

I've just finished watching bits of The X Factor on ITV (yes, really), and one of the singers in the competition found out he hadn't gone through, he was gutted. I felt sorry for this guy, everyone of them (on this show) works so hard to earn their place in the competition and to have it taken away from them in a few moments, makes you (him) feel such a failure, as if he'd been robbed. It makes me realise how obessed our society is with fame and fortune - we're all after our 15mins of fame (an expression coined by the American artist Andy Warhol) and some of us get more than 15 mins whilst others won't get any of it.
I suppose if we don't make an effort to shine, then how on on earth are gazers (i.e. US!) supposed to see, recognise or find you/me? (talented stars).

These shows (X Factor, Pop Idol, Popstars, Britain's Got Talent, Stars in their Eyes) that are primarily concerned with identifying singing talent, through appearance, personality, stage presence and dance routines (important element of many performances) really does prove our obsession to seek stardom, our interest in fame and celebrity! and to some people, not to achieve this, is like jumping off a cliff with no return back.

There are even individuals who posts themselves up on MySpace and YouTube in order to expose themselves, they'll go to extensive lengths...is it SAD? or is it determination?
In my opinion, if you reckon you've got the X Factor, then be proud to show it off, I'm sure there will be others that agree with you and not just yourself! SHOW OFF, BE A DRAMA QUEEN AND BE PROUD IN DOING IT... (cindy going through one of her thinking moments).
