Love is DEFINITELY all around

I was shopping in ASDA last night and was overwhelmed by seeing all the guys huddled up in the V-day cards & gift wrap section, looking baffled at which card they should purchase, They looked lost, I found it funny/cute to see even the macho of all men purchasing a cheesy card and picking flowers for their 'special one'. The guy in front of me at the check out had purchased a huuuuge bouquet of flowers, chocolates and cards along with a range of girly magazines (Closer, Look, Heat, Glamour, etc...) for his loved ones...it was very sweet to see even men are very thoughtful and sentimental.....OR is it because if they don't get us anything on this day, they know for sure they'll be getting an ear full!! (hahahaa)

I know we dont have to wait for a holiday to tell somone we love them, but its nice to receive chocolates, flowers or cards on this day. It is a very thin line between holiness and self-righteousness.Valentines Day is a wonderful holiday for businesses and they grab your attention with arresting signs like bullfighter to his bull...But I love this day, it's the only day in the year when EVERYONE goes sickeningly cheesy and loved up!

A very happy Valentine's Day to everyone! (please get yourself to the shops if you've forgotten...)

Yesterday was the Seventh Day of the Chinese New Year, it's called "everybody's birthday" as everyone was considered one year older as of that date. (In traditional China, individual birthdays were not considered as important as the New Year's date. Everyone added a year to his age at New Year's time rather than at his birthday)....so wooo hooo we're a yr older too...
