London: it's all pure waffle

Me and Bazza decided to go into London last weekend to have a late breakfast (one of those 3pm ones – yes, we didn't get up til late...again!).

He drove in and parked up somewhere near Baker Street - we noticed a cute little waffle place on Duke Street, right off of the super busy Oxford Street. The place was called Pure Waffle. As soon as you walk in, the unmistakable smell of chocolate and waffle batter hits you. You'll also notice the cool modern decor and the minimalist leather couches. We knew it was the place for us.

I ordered a Strawberry and Banana covered waffle, listed on the menu as "Fresh and Fruity." The waffle was served on a hip oversized white plate with (really sweet, over coloured) strawberry sauce drizzled on top with sliced straweberries and bananas sprinkled all over for decoration. You can also order it with whipped cream or ice cream (I didn't have either). It was DELICIOUS! I highly recommend it, with a nice cup of English Breakfast. Bazza got the chocolate one listed on the menu as "Chocolate and Saucy." (pictured above) and he also loved it. The one he got came with French chocolate sauce drizzled on top and chocolate flakes sprinkled all over and a huge dollop of ice-cream. The ice-cream was really creamy and of good quality (from Marine Ices, a place in Chalk Farm). Two waffles with two drinks, the bill came to around £14.

I quite liked the waffles and fully recommend the place - I will be back again! (you know me, me and my 'awfully sweet' tooth!)
