My cousin's computer has been on the blink these past few days so haven't had access to the internet. I'll be back in HeyTown and Sheffield this time next week....yay, kinda looking frward t it but kinda NOT too...I'm stuck in a rut at the mo'
I went to china at last weekend, the south end, to visit my families homeland. Uncle Roger met me at Admirity MTR station and we took the coach to the China border, from there he drove us all the way to our hmeland (a 3 hr drive bcs of heavy traffic!). Although I did't stay up there for very long, I was really pleased I managed to fit in sooooo many activites in such a short space of time. The rural areas are such a big contrast to the cities, I often wonder how on earth are they going to get out of this dark hole (it so hard for them to develop, so I guess we gotta appreciate the position we're in).
I MUST thank my cousin and Sophy for such lovely memories in China (I'll be back again next yr!!)...The journey up to China started at 8am Sat morning (thanks uncle Roger too) - they took me to Karaoke, drink chinese beer, shopping, eating, chatted loads about lots of nonsense (Sat night me and sophy stayed up till 3am chatting!!), introduced me to their friends and don't worry Johnny, I have taken LOADS of pictures of everyone for you to nosy at...I was back in HK Sunday evening (10ish).
I spent the day in ShenZhen yday with my cousins, they took me to the LO Wu shopping centre...lots of branded goods (but fakes but u can't tell!!), the shop assistants are sooooo annoying too, they are off putting (I'm crap at bargaining so I left it to my cousin who's a proper professional at it). In the evening, I walked along the harbour at Tsim Sha Tsui and stopped at a rather posh cafe there to have a coffee with my frd...ahhh, it was nice! Makes me wonder what it would be like to come over to wrk here. Lots of ppl say it's not as a nice place than I think, of course I know to work over here is bound to be different to coming over for leisure but it's the 'what if...' that makes me curious, right?...mmmmm, don't think to much. My HK frds have booked for us all to go camping at the Lantau Islands this weekend, we're staying over night and having a BBQ. They are really so thoughtful and want my last few days to be EVEN MORE memorable!! I'm meeting Carmen tomorrow too (finally!!) for lunch, I haven't seen this girl for almost 3 years...so I'm really excited.
Anyway, I've arranged to meet my cousin for lunch in 45 mins, I must type off now....I'll be back in town soon. Feel free to leave comments HeyTowners.
