Bourne Ultimatum - Spies like us...

Another week gone, just like that!!!.....bloody hell...(cinD gives out a deep sigh)

I went to see the new Bourne movie this afternoon, initially, there was supposed to be a good number of us going (I got quite excited about it too, thought it was going to be a successful outing arranged by me!) but in the end, it was just me, emma and Lock...tut, tut, tut (wait until I see those who let me down).

The film was great, Matt Damon (who nearly jumped off the screen and into my seat) plays the tough, ferocious, amnesiac CIA tough guy Jason Bourne and he's looking good as ever! It's a very fast, energetic film (it'll have you dizzy in some bits, there's an ass-kicking fight scene in the bathroom with one of his assassins, Desh, was one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen (don't miss it!). If you've already seen the first two Bourne films, this one is more intense and endearing.

The scene in London's crowded Waterloo station where they have to dodge bullets from a CIA sniper had me edged on my seat. Anyway, Bourne makes his way across London, Paris, Madrid, New York and Tangier and Greengrass (the director) uncorks some truly jaw-dropping action sequences and there's loads of chases that had me on the edge of my seat. A terrific car chase where Bourne's driving a police car will leave you gawping - guys? or Lock? Please don't even try it on the streets in Sheffield...

There's even a final hint that the series may not be over. A quadrequel could be in the offing. I'm looking forward to it already.

Whilst at cineworld, I bumped into Taz (long time no see mate), whilst queuing up for the tickets and William with his girlfriend - whilst actually seated to watch the film, he sat next to me but what's the chance of that happening!? (what a coincidence, we both had no idea we'd meet like this, I didn't even know he'd be there, at that time and place too.....geeeeeez, a small world innit!?).
Next films on my 'must see' list includes: Rush Hour 3, The Bratz (I know, I really shouldn't!!! but Mel's forcing me to go and see it, haha), No Reservation (Zeta Jones new flick)...
