I've been waking up at really funny/odd times lately, my sleeping times are totally out of wack too (sometimes I'm good and am in bed before 11pm, but then will wake up throughout the night, 2am, then 4am)...this morning I woke at 5.15am and didn't even fall back to sleep. I ended up reading yesterdays newspaper with a huge bowl of muesli (any HeyTowners like this? some ppl call it rabbit food, but actually it's really yum! - Have Alpen, it has to be the sugared version though:)...
This week's gone mega fast as usual, the sun's not been playing hide and seek with us in Sheffield too. The other day i was walking through town in my lunch hour and saw/found, many ppl in fact, have lunch on their own...there were many singletons sat on benches nr the Peace Gardens, benches at the train station and Workstation area eating their lunch by themselves whilst reading a book or magazine, with the sun rays beaming down on them! It looked quite magical - sometimes I'd think this was a lonely scene but in fact, having a few minutes to yourselve is quite a luxurious moment.
I hope the sun stays out over the weekend, what's the waether forecast?
Through facebook, I've found an old school friend from comprehensive. We're back in touch now and it was her birthday the other day. She's living over in Australia at the moment, travelling round melbourne, living the hi-life life like Australians (it sounds really exciting) but the best news, yet to some, was I also found she had JUST got a job at 20th Century Fox! 9yes the movie production place), i'm not sure what she will be doing yet - I need to message her but it definitely sounds exciting! She's so lucky. She took a chance and explored - I feel I need to explore and adventure alot more. Time's passing way too fast now.
At a blink, a day passes by, then two blinks it's a whole week gone, several blinks - it's a month!!! The other day, a customer in the takeaway asked me how old I was, and for the first time I felt quite embarrased to say my actual age (the customer) probably thought I was ALOT younger than I looked.
I used to be so/really ambitious! and at the moment, especially this year, i feel I've become incredibly lazy! For instance, there's loads of things I should/need to do to the Heydays website (lots of updates too - new illustrations, update my portfolio and personal info), I used to do freelance work too - which i enjoyed, my creativity was at a high this time last year but now it's shrunk and drying up! (oh, oh!!), plus when I do have any free minutes, I'm on 'time waster applications' such as Facebook/ Friendsters/MSN Spaces, etc...once I'm on Facebook, reading ppl's updates or daily entries, then all of a sudden i realise a hour has passed!!! (sigh).
Please don't get me wrong or think I'm unhappy. I'm happy being a Graphic Designer, it's what i studied and wanted to be - but......often I think, what now leh?
I should set myself some Mid-year resolutions. Who says they should only be made at New Year time?
I'm going to have a think about my these resolutions (targets) and post them up in my next Hi-life entry to you, so that you can meke sure CinDz meets those goals...give me encouragement.
Another thing, yesterday, I finally got to see the muchly hyped Simpson's Movie. Out of ten? I'd give it a five, definitely not my cup of hot chocolate but the jokes and one-liners in the film are great! U can tell the producers have defin' taken alot of care and attention to the film's script. It was such a short film too (1hr 15mins) - the film started at 7.30pm (this was after the trailers too) and me, Candy and Dan were out of the cinema by 8.46pm!!
I'm amazed it's Friday tomorrow!! (waaah-hay...)
Loads of diva staff off next week too (Dan's off to the Big Chill concert this weekend and isn't back till Tuesday, Anna's off to Budapest and Steve's off to Spain too, lucky them)...enjoy your breaks you three! :)
I've just read Leon's daily blog too, I'm so glad you're having a good time over in China. U deserve a good rest and people spoiling you - afterall Superleon's worked really hard this year!...chicken wings?....urrrrggghh, no thank you! I want proper meat.
